This week’s favorites include the 2022 Omega DeVille Power Reserve Master Chronometer, the IWC Portofino 34 Day & Night, and the Panerai Luminor Due Luna.
Omega DeVille Power Reserve Master Chronometer
Earlier this week, Omega introduced an entirely new generation of the DeVille – with a whopping total of 136 new unique references. The biggest news is found in the self-winding variations, which are now exclusively powered by in-house, Master Chronometer movements. One of my favorites is the ref. 434.10.41.21.03.002, which features the new caliber 8810 with small seconds at 9:00 and power reserve + date at 6:00.
Panerai Luminor Due Luna
Panerai was once known for its solid and instrumental dive watches, but in recent years has been moving away from its roots. Case in point the new Luminor Due Luna PAM01181 – a 38mm watch with a water resistance of 30 / 50 meters [tbc], and a mother-of-pearl dial with moon phase indicator.
IWC Portofino Automatic Day & Night 34
IWC is on a roll, with many of its collections having been upgraded over the past couple of months with new movements, colors, and materials. This week we witnessed the introduction of a couple of new models in the Portofino collection. The Portofino Automatic Day & Night adds a new small complication to the collection in the form of -you’ve guessed it- a day & night indicator.
