CHRONOTHEORY&Co is a Japanese watch brand founded by Naoto Watanabe, a former graphic designer and the owner of Chrono Theory, a specialist importer of independent European watch brands. With CHRONOTHEORY&Co, Watanabe brings together vintage design codes from the 1930s to 1950s and contemporary Japanese manufacturing expertise, creating watches that are both stylistically refined and technically ... advanced.

All watches are designed in-house and produced in Japan through partnerships with leading local suppliers. Cases are made by Kyowa Seiko—best known for its work with Minase—and feature complex geometries and high-end finishing techniques such as zaratsu polishing. Dials are supplied by Shokosha, a company with a background in high-end domestic production, and are notable for their depth, texture, and use of traditional decorative techniques.

The brand emphasizes craftsmanship and low-volume production, with hand-finishing performed by CHRONOTHEORY’s in-house watchmaker. Its approach is defined by a mix of vintage-inspired design, modern engineering, and a focus on everyday usability.
