Löbner L62234 description
The LÖBNER Steelracer Rocketman L62234 debuted in 2024 as a serial-production follow-up to the limited edition commemorating Fritz von Opel’s 1928 rocket car speed record. Housed in a 41 mm stainless steel case, this chronograph pays tribute to a moment when LÖBNER served as official timekeeper for the daring run of the Opel RAK.2.
The dial is finished in Galvano Black, paired with a fixed tachymeter bezel engraved to measure speeds from 60 to 600 km/h. The decentralized time display—made possible by a proprietary module—leaves the center position dedicated exclusively to the chronograph seconds hand. A patented crown guard system, dubbed Sledge, locks the chronograph pusher during time-setting and protects the crown from external shocks.
Inside ticks the Swiss-made L6223, a column-wheel chronograph movement outfitted with LÖBNER’s own rotor and display module. It beats at 28,800 vph, features 26 jewels, and delivers a power reserve of 60 hours. The construction meets ISO 1413 standards for shock resistance.
As a descendant of both mechanical ingenuity and motorsport history, the Steelracer Rocketman merges storytelling and engineering with resolute clarity.
