Zenith 03.A780.400-3/56.M3642 description
The Zenith Defy Chronograph USM 03.A780.400-3/56.M3642 debuted in 2025 as one of four colour variants developed with USM Modular Furniture, produced in an edition of 60 pieces. Its 37mm stainless steel case remains faithful to the original 1969 Defy with its angular octagonal form and fourteen-sided bezel, now adapted to house the El Primero chronograph. A stainless steel ladder bracelet is fitted to the case. The Pure Orange dial is paired with square grooved indexes, faceted hands, and three silver chronograph registers with concentric finishing. The chronograph seconds hand is tipped with a luminous ball joint motif, a nod to USM’s design language.
Powering the watch is the El Primero 400, a high-frequency automatic movement running at 36,000 vph. The column-wheel chronograph architecture drives central chronograph seconds, a 30-minute register at 3, a 12-hour register at 6, and small seconds at 9, with a date at 4:30. The movement provides a 55-hour power reserve and is visible through the sapphire back, where the rotor is openworked with the Zenith star and USM logo. Water resistance is specified at 100 meters.
