Zenith 06.9200.9004/51.I001 description
The Zenith Defy Extreme 06.9200.9004/51.I001 debuted in 2025 as a limited edition of 50 pieces, executed in polished stainless steel combined with microblasted yellow gold and housing the El Primero 9004 1/100th-of-a-second chronograph calibre. The case measures 45 mm in diameter, 15.4 mm in thickness, and 51 mm lug-to-lug, with a water-resistance rating of 20 ATM. It is delivered on a stainless-steel bracelet with folding clasp and supplied with two additional straps: a black rubber strap with folding buckle and a black Velcro strap. All attachment options are compatible with Zenith’s interchangeable-strap system.
The dial is crafted from lapis lazuli and partially openworked, revealing sections of the movement architecture. Indications include central hours and minutes, small seconds at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute chronograph counter at 3 o’clock, a 60-second counter at 6 o’clock, and a chronograph power-reserve indicator at 12 o’clock. The 1/100th-of-a-second chronograph uses a central hand performing one full rotation per second. Hands and hour markers are gold-plated, faceted, and treated with Super-LumiNova SLN C1.
Inside, the El Primero 9004 calibre features two independent escapements: one for timekeeping operating at 36,000 vph (5 Hz), and one dedicated to the chronograph at 360,000 vph (50 Hz). The movement provides a 50-hour power reserve and is fitted with a star-shaped oscillating weight with satin finishing, visible through the sapphire case back.
