The Day-Date 36 128238-0071 represents the current generation of Rolex’s flagship calendar watch in its traditional 36 mm format. Introduced following the technical update of the collection in 2019, it incorporates the manufacture calibre 3255 and maintains the classic proportions and design language that have defined the Day-Date since its introduction in 1956.

The Oyster case measures 36 mm in diameter and is crafted from 18 ct yellow gold. It follows Rolex’s monobloc Oyster architecture, with a screw-down case back and Twinlock screw-down winding crown, ensuring water resistance to 100 metres. A fluted bezel in matching yellow gold surrounds a scratch-resistant sapphire crystal fitted with a Cyclops lens above the date aperture.

The dial is executed in turquoise and set with diamonds. Hour markers in 18 ct gold are set with 32 diamonds, while the Roman numerals VI and IX are rendered in 18 ct gold and together set with an additional 24 diamonds. The day of the week is displayed in full through an aperture at 12 o’clock, with the date shown at 3 o’clock.

Powering the watch is the Rolex calibre 3255, a self-winding mechanical movement operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour. It features a blue Parachrom hairspring, Paraflex shock absorbers, and a bidirectional Perpetual rotor. The movement provides an approximate power reserve of 70 hours and supports instantaneous day and date displays with secure rapid-setting, as well as stop-seconds for precise time setting. After casing, it is certified as a Superlative Chronometer.

The watch is fitted with the President bracelet, composed of semi-circular three-piece links in 18 ct yellow gold. It is secured by a concealed folding Crownclasp and integrates seamlessly with the case.
