Patek Philippe 6104/12P-010 description
The Patek Philippe Celestial 6104/12P-010 is a jewellery execution of the Celestial astronomical wristwatch, distinguished by ruby setting applied to the case, bezel, and clasp.
The watch is housed in a 44 mm platinum case with a thickness of 11.33 mm and water resistance rated to 30 metres. A diamond is set into the case at 6 o’clock. The bezel is set with 38 baguette-cut rubies (approximately 4.56 carats), while the fold-over clasp is set with 22 baguette-cut rubies (approximately 1.10 carats), for a total of 60 baguette-cut rubies weighing approximately 5.66 carats. Sapphire crystals are fitted on both the dial side and the case back.
The dial presents an astronomical display of the northern hemisphere sky. It shows the apparent motion of the stars, the phases and orbit of the Moon, the angular motion of the Moon, the time of meridian passage of Sirius and the Moon, and an ellipse representing the visible portion of the sky for a given latitude. White-gold skeletonised leaf-shaped hands indicate the hours and minutes of mean solar time.
Powering the watch is the self-winding Caliber 240 LU CL C. The ultra-thin movement is based on a micro-rotor architecture and drives the astronomical indications displayed on the dial.
