31-260 REG QA description
Caliber 31-260 REG QA is a self-winding movement developed for Patek Philippe’s regulator-style annual calendar, featuring a central sweep minutes hand with separate subdials for the hours and small seconds. The annual calendar mechanism displays the day, date, and month through apertures and requires correction only once per year, at the end of February.
The movement measures 33 mm in diameter and 5.08 mm in thickness and comprises 313 components, including 31 jewels. It operates at a frequency of 23,040 semi-oscillations per hour (3.2 Hz) and delivers a power reserve of approximately 38 to 48 hours.
Automatic winding is provided by an off-center 22-carat gold minirotor. Timekeeping regulation is handled by a Gyromax balance paired with a Spiromax balance spring, both produced in Silinvar®. The movement is finished and certified according to the Patek Philippe Seal.
