Patek Philippe 5077/100G-056 description
The Patek Philippe Calatrava 5077/100G-056 & 5077/100G-057 are created for the 2023 Patek Philippe Tokyo exhibition. These two limited editions of 5 watches each feature a portrait of a Japanese crane in grisaille enamel au blanc de Limoges – with bamboo and a pagoda (5077/100G-056) or in full flight, with mountain peaks and a branch of cherry blossom (5077/100G-057). The oil-based white enamel known as blanc de Limoges was sculpted using a tiny brush and a needle on a base of opaque black enamel to obtain skillful monochromes. Miniature painting on enamel created the red patch on the bird’s head, while the beak was fashioned in gold powder. Each dial required an average of 13 firings at temperatures ranging from 600°C to 800°C. The bezel and lugs are set with 112 diamonds (~0.87 ct) and the prong buckle sparkles with 29 diamonds (~0.24 ct).
