Omega 332.10.41.51.01.002 description
The Omega Speedmaster Pilot expands the Speedmaster family with a model specifically oriented toward aviation use, drawing design cues from cockpit instruments while retaining the technical architecture of the modern Speedmaster chronograph. The watch is housed in a stainless steel case measuring 40.85 mm in diameter, with a lug-to-lug length of 49.6 mm and a thickness of 14.65 mm. Water resistance is rated to 100 metres, and sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides protects the dial.
The dial is executed in matte black with a grained finish, framed by a rhodium-coloured outer ring. Hour markers are rendered as applied blocks filled with white Super-LumiNova emitting a green glow. The display is organised around two sub-dials, each designed with clear aviation references. At 3 o’clock, a combined 60-minute and 12-hour chronograph recorder features an opaline centre, brushed bevels, transferred white numerals, and a triangular matte-orange hand, visually recalling a burn-rate indicator. At 9 o’clock, the small seconds display is styled as a targeting or sight indicator, incorporating a varnished matte-yellow hand and a blue artificial horizon motif.
The hour and minute hands are PVD-coated in matte black and filled with white Super-LumiNova, maintaining high contrast against the dial surface. The central chronograph seconds hand is finished in orange and features an aeroplane-shaped tip, reinforcing the aviation theme without altering the functional layout of the chronograph.
Powering the watch is the automatic Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 9900. This self-winding movement provides central hours and minutes, small seconds, and chronograph functions, with a stated power reserve of 60 hours. The calibre is certified as a Master Chronometer, meeting METAS standards for precision, magnetic resistance, and performance.
The Speedmaster Pilot is fitted with a brushed stainless steel bracelet featuring flat links and Omega’s screw-and-pin construction system. The watch is delivered with a supplementary NATO strap made with Kevlar®, along with a strap-changing tool, housed in a dedicated travel pouch.
