Omega 235.12.38.20.13.001 description
The Omega Seamaster Railmaster 235.12.38.20.13.001 debuted in 2025 as part of the contemporary Railmaster line, continuing a model family that was originally introduced in 1957 for professionals working in magnetically challenging environments such as the railways.
This reference is housed in a symmetrical 38 mm stainless steel case with brushed and polished surfaces. The case measures 44.92 mm from lug to lug and has a thickness of 12.36 mm. A domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both sides protects the dial, while water resistance is rated to 150 metres. The watch is fitted to a golden brown Novonappa leather strap made from calf leather, with a grained surface and non-grained underside, secured by a stainless steel foldover clasp.
The dial is finished in beige with a black gradient, reinforcing the Railmaster’s focus on legibility and restrained design. Large Arabic numerals and hour markers are filled with vintage-toned Super-LumiNova. A small seconds display is positioned at 6 o’clock and features a beige varnished seconds hand, adding a functional complication while maintaining a balanced dial layout.
Powering the watch is the self-winding Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8804. The movement provides a power reserve of approximately 55 hours and is certified by METAS. It offers resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, continuing the Railmaster’s long-standing emphasis on anti-magnetic performance. The calibre is visible through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback.
This version of the Seamaster Railmaster combines the collection’s utilitarian origins with a warmer colour palette and a leather strap configuration, offering a distinctive interpretation within the modern Railmaster range.
