Omega 235.10.38.20.13.001 description
The Omega Railmaster 235.10.38.20.13.001 revisits one of the brand’s historic professional tool watches, updating its design and specifications while remaining closely aligned with the character of the original Railmaster introduced in 1957 for railway personnel.
This modern iteration is housed in a symmetrical 38 mm stainless steel case with alternating brushed and polished surfaces. The case measures 44.92 mm from lug to lug and has a thickness of 12.36 mm. It is fitted with a domed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal featuring anti-reflective treatment on both sides. Water resistance is rated to 150 metres. The watch is delivered on an integrated stainless steel bracelet with brushed and polished links, incorporating an easy comfort-adjustment system.
The dial is executed in a brown tone with a black gradient effect, offering a contemporary interpretation of the Railmaster’s traditionally legible aesthetic. Large Arabic numerals and hour markers are filled with vintage-coloured Super-LumiNova to ensure readability in low-light conditions. A small seconds display is positioned at 6 o’clock and is distinguished by a beige varnished seconds hand, providing visual separation from the main timekeeping indications.
Powering the watch is the self-winding Omega Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8804. The movement operates at modern chronometric standards and delivers a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. Certified by METAS, it is resistant to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, continuing the Railmaster’s longstanding association with anti-magnetic performance. The calibre can be viewed through the transparent sapphire crystal caseback.
This reference combines the Railmaster’s historically utilitarian design language with contemporary materials, finishing, and movement technology, resulting in a model that preserves the collection’s technical focus while presenting a refreshed visual identity.
