When Omega created the Seamaster Aqua Terra it was influenced by some design elements which had characterized some great Omega wristwatches in the past. One of these was the 1960 Automatic Seamaster. The Aqua Terra is a fitting homage to its timeless design but what’s inside its case would make its ancestor proud.
Reference 126.96.36.199.54.001 has a stainless steel case and matching bracelet. The dial is white and features high-contrast hands and markers - the latter are diamond-set.
The in-house caliber 8500 was introduced in the 2007 De Ville Hour Vision. Its two barrels provide a total of 60 hours of power reserve. Version 8501, for use in gold watches, features a solid gold rotor.
Since 2015 certain watches containing this movement may carry the 'Master Co-Axial Chronometer' on the dial.
