Montblanc 114875 description
Upholding the precise chronometric heritage of its Minerva roots, the Montblanc Manufacture at Villeret presents a timepiece inspired by one of Minerva’s first chronograph wristwatches of the 1920s. For the first time in the Montblanc collection, its Montblanc Calibre MB 25.09 combines an annual calendar complication with a chronograph function. A dial of timelessly harmonious proportions with four subdials shows the full calendar data combined with chronograph indications. The two functions are differentiated by red gold-plated hands for the time and calendar data and blued hands for the chronograph. The counter at 12 o’clock provides the date and the small seconds. At 9 o’clock two hands display the month and the chronograph minutes on respective scales, followed by the day of the week and the chronograph hours at 6 o’clock. Solely reserved for the lunar phases is the sophisticated moon-phase display at 3 o’clock. The moon’s age is displayed by hand on the four principal phases: from new moon, first quarter, full moon to last quarter. The calendar functions are adjusted with four individual correctors on both sides of the case. The silvery-white dial with sunray finishing bears applied indexes and a prominent Arabic 12. A black alligator-skin strap crafted at the Montblanc Pelletteria holds the refined, polished case with rounded, curved horns.
