The Longines Conquest V.H.P. ('Very High Precision') was introduced in 2017. The models within this collection are all powered by extremely precise quartz movements accurate to approx. 5 seconds a year. They come in various sizes and with a choice of dials. The pictured model is powered by the three-handed caliber L288.2 with date.
Reference L3.7188.8.131.52 was created in honor of the 2018 Commonwealth Games which were held at the Austrialian Gold Coast.
This movement is renowned for its high degree of precision for an analog watch (± 5 s/yr) and its ability to reset its hands after an impact or exposure to a magnetic field, using the GPD (gear position detection) system. These attractive features are likely responsible for its exceptional movement status, to which a very long battery life and a perpetual calendar must be added.
