IWC IW8154-01 description
The Da Vinci Perpetual Rattrapante was introduced in 1995, marking the 10th anniversary of the Da Vinci Perpetual Calendar On top of the chronograph and perpetual calendar, this model also features a split-seconds mechanism, adding a 10th hand to the dial. The added complication notwithstanding, the case still measures 39mm across.
The Da Vinci Split Seconds of this generation was available in either platinum or yellow gold , with leather strap or bracelet. Also available were a number of diamond-set variations. As customary with IWC's of this era, the dials came in either German, Italian, English or French. [not always properly reflected in our images]. The platinum version was limited to 500 pieces; this is the total for all platinum watches across the various configurations.
A replacement was offered in the form of the 3754 / 9272 from 2000 onwards, which saw the case diameter increase to 41.5mm.
Reference IW8154-01 has a diamond-set CASE_MATERIAL] case and a Silver dial.
