The Senator Chronometer was originally introduced in 2009 as the first officially certified chronometer from Glashütte Original. The term “chronometer” denotes an especially accurate clock or watch such as those used for air and sea navigation in the past. The version pictured here was introduced in 2019 to serve as a replacement for the original 2009 version. It features a gently redesigned case, while the dial remains virtually unchanged.
Ref. 1-58-01-02-05-01 is fitted with an alligator strap with pin buckle.

Ref. 1-58-01-02-05-50 is fitted with an alligator strap with shorter folding clasp.
Manual wind movement, Glashütte three-quarter plate with stripe finish, swan-neck fine adjustment, screw balance with 18 weighted screws, balance cock engraved by hand, screw-mounted gold chatons, blued screws, bevelled edges, polished steel parts. German chronometer certificate (LMET/SLME).
