The Glashütte Original Senator Observer 1-00-14-05-02-07 debuted in 2012 and is housed in a 44 mm stainless steel case with polished and satin-brushed surfaces. This modern interpretation of a historical observation watch pays tribute to Glashütte’s tradition of precision timekeeping for navigation on land and sea.
The dial features a fine silver-grained finish achieved through three layers of lacquer, with a small seconds subdial at 9 o’clock and a power reserve indicator at 3 o’clock. The signature Panorama Date is positioned at 6 o’clock. Black Arabic numerals and a railway-style minute track encircle the dial, complemented by blued and polished hands.
Powering the watch is the in-house calibre 100-14, a self-winding movement with a 55-hour power reserve. The movement is bayonet-mounted for enhanced shock resistance and is visible through a sapphire crystal case back, revealing traditional Glashütte decoration including striping, blued screws, and a 21-ct gold rotor.
Reference 1-00-14-05-02-07 is fitted with a black calfskin leather strap secured by a stainless steel pin buckle.
