A. Lange & Söhne 320.050 description

The A. Lange & Söhne Lange 1 Daymatic Honeygold 320.050 debuted in 2025 as a limited edition of 250 watches. It is the first Lange 1 Daymatic presented in a case made of 750 Honeygold. The watch features the model’s mirrored dial layout, with the hours and minutes positioned on the right side of the display and the subsidiary seconds on the left. The outsized date is located at left, and the day of the week is indicated by a retrograde scale along the left periphery. The dial is crafted from solid silver, finished in brown, and includes a slightly recessed hour and minute circle. The date presents white numerals on a brown background. The case measures 39.5 millimetres in diameter and 10.4 millimetres in height. It features a sapphire crystal on the front and a sapphire-crystal case back, and has a water resistance rating of 3 bar. The model was introduced on 7 December 2025.

Powering the watch is the self-winding manufacture calibre L021.1. The movement is constructed from four separately screwed plates that visually reference the traditional three-quarter plate once assembled. It is fitted with a central rotor in 21-carat gold with an outer centrifugal mass in 950 platinum. The movement operates at 21,600 vibrations per hour and provides a power reserve of 50 hours when fully wound. It consists of 426 components, contains 67 jewels, and includes seven screwed gold chatons. Functions comprise hours, minutes, subsidiary seconds with stop seconds, the outsized date, and the retrograde day-of-week indication. The watch is operated by a crown for winding and setting, a pusher for adjusting the date, and a corrector for the day display.

Finishing details reflect the manufacture’s established standards. The movement features an indexless oscillation system with a large balance wheel and eccentric poising weights, and it uses an in-house balance spring. The balance cock is hand engraved. Additional movement details include Glashütte ribbing and thermally blued screws. The Honeygold case is presented with refined lugs and bezel geometry that enhances the watch’s visual balance. The hands, appliques, and the frame of the outsized date are also executed in Honeygold. Each example is individually numbered as part of the limited edition.
