MT5400-U description
The Tudor Manufacture Calibre MT5400-U is a self-winding mechanical movement with 27 jewels, displaying central hours, minutes, and seconds. It operates with a bidirectional rotor system and delivers a 65-hour power reserve, certified by METAS.
Its regulating organ is built around a variable inertia balance with micro-adjustment screws and a non-magnetic silicon balance spring, beating at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour, or 4Hz. The movement also incorporates a stop-seconds function for precise time setting.
The MT5400-U is both COSC-certified and certified as a Master Chronometer by METAS. In this specification, Master Chronometer certification confirms precision within a daily variation of 0/+5 seconds, resistance to magnetic fields up to 15,000 gauss, and verification of the stated power reserve and water resistance on the fully assembled watch.
Its construction follows Tudor’s established Manufacture calibre architecture, with an openworked tungsten monobloc rotor featuring radial laser decoration and sand-blasted details, while the bridges and mainplate combine sand-blasted, polished, and laser-finished surfaces. The overall design places emphasis on chronometric stability, magnetic resistance, and durability in daily use.
