Rolex 124245RBR-0001 description
The Rolex Oyster Perpetual 34 124245RBR-0001 debuted in 2026 as a gem-set interpretation of the Oyster Perpetual collection, combining the 34 mm Everose gold case with a brown lacquer dial and a diamond-set bezel. Within the line, this reference stands apart through the way it introduces a more jewellery-oriented treatment to one of Rolex’s simplest time-only formats, while preserving the underlying architecture and straightforward display of the Oyster Perpetual.
Its Oyster case measures 34 mm in diameter and follows the established construction of the collection, with a monobloc middle case, screw-down case back, and Twinlock screw-down winding crown. Here, that familiar case is paired with a bezel set with diamonds, giving the watch a distinctly different visual profile from the domed bezels used on the standard Oyster Perpetual models. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal protects the dial, and water resistance remains rated to 100 metres, so the more elaborate exterior treatment does not alter the watch’s core Oyster specifications.
The dial is executed in brown lacquer and set with diamond hour markers at 3, 6, and 9 o’clock. These markers are mounted in 18 ct gold and set with 12 diamonds, creating a more concentrated gem-set arrangement than the conventional applied indexes seen on the non-set references. The rest of the display remains close to the standard Oyster Perpetual layout, with central hours, minutes, and seconds, pink gold hands, and Chromalight for low-light legibility. As with the other lacquer dials in the collection, the dial surface is built up in successive layers before being varnished and polished, producing a uniform finish with notable depth and gloss.
Inside is Rolex calibre 2232, a self-winding manufacture movement with centre hours, minutes, and seconds, stop-seconds for precise setting, and a power reserve of approximately 55 hours. It runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and is equipped with a Syloxi silicon hairspring with patented geometry, together with Paraflex shock absorbers. In this reference, the movement maintains the Oyster Perpetual’s emphasis on straightforward timekeeping and compact automatic construction beneath a more decorative case and dial treatment.
The watch is fitted with an Oyster bracelet with three-piece solid links, a folding Oysterclasp, and the Easylink comfort extension system allowing approximately 5 mm of adjustment. That bracelet keeps the reference anchored in the visual language of the Oyster Perpetual collection, even as the diamond-set bezel and jewelled dial details shift its character in a more ornamental direction. The result is a version of the Oyster Perpetual 34 that retains the collection’s essential three-hand format while giving it a distinctly gem-set expression.
