Rolex 126300-0025 description

The Rolex Datejust 41 126300-0025 debuted in 2026 as a new Oystersteel variation of the Datejust collection, pairing the familiar 41 mm case with a green lacquer ombré dial and a smooth bezel. In this configuration, the watch takes one of the Datejust’s most established formats and gives it a markedly different visual balance, with the ombré dial becoming the primary point of focus and the bezel treatment kept deliberately restrained.

Its Oyster case measures 41 mm in diameter and follows the established construction of the Datejust line, with a monobloc middle case, screw-down case back, and Twinlock screw-down winding crown. Executed entirely in Oystersteel, this reference uses a smooth bezel rather than the fluted white gold bezel seen on other Datejust 41 variants, giving the watch a cleaner and more understated profile. A scratch-resistant sapphire crystal incorporates the Cyclops lens over the date, and water resistance is rated to 100 metres, preserving the practical Oyster architecture that underpins the model.

The dial is the defining feature of this reference. Rolex presents it in green lacquer ombré, with the entire surface coated in lacquer, a first for an ombré dial since this style returned to the catalogue in 2019. The effect is created by applying green lacquer to the base plate and then spraying black lacquer in concentric motions to form the darker outer edge. This gradient strengthens the contrast around the date aperture and allows the white inscriptions to stand out clearly, while Chromalight hour markers and the central handset maintain the familiar Datejust display. The result is a dial that remains straightforward in layout, but noticeably more atmospheric in execution than the standard sunray or flat-colour alternatives in the range.

Inside is Rolex calibre 3235, a self-winding manufacture movement with centre hours, minutes, and seconds, instantaneous date with rapid setting, stop-seconds for precise time setting, and a power reserve of approximately 70 hours. It runs at 28,800 vibrations per hour and is equipped with a blue Parachrom hairspring and Paraflex shock absorbers. As in other Datejust 41 references, the movement combines the collection’s signature date display with Rolex’s current-generation automatic architecture.

The watch is fitted with an Oyster bracelet in Oystersteel, with three-piece solid links, a folding Oysterclasp, and the Easylink comfort extension system allowing approximately 5 mm of adjustment. In this version, the bracelet and smooth bezel work together to keep the overall character more direct and contemporary, leaving the green ombré dial as the main visual differentiator. The result is a Datejust 41 that remains immediately recognisable in form and function, yet distinct within the collection through its monochrome steel construction and lacquered gradient dial.
